Here’s the deal with this thing- and reasons by I threw a pillow at my computer when Don proposed and shit.

1. Worst idea ever like omg.

2. Don draper has proven time and time again that he needs some real help before he can handle a relationship. LIKE MAJOR HELP

3. Megan is like another Betty Draper in the making. Talented young woman has a lot to look forward to in life- then Don Draper comes along and things will be in shambles. Everything she has ever dreamed of will be in shambles. Don will get into further shambles. Shambles.

4. Everyone will hate Megan for this. Everyone will label Megan a gold digger/ slut/ you name it. People will hate her. And no one will ever criticise Don Draper. No one will ever think critically about Don Draper or the shit he’s pulled.

And you know what? Hindsight- I was right about number 4. Can’t say much about 1,2 and 3 because we need the next season to be pooped out- but I remember hitting fan comms for the reaction to that last episode AND IT WAS FULL OF MEGAN HATE. RELENTLESS MEGAN HATE. And all this DON DRAPER WAS MANIPULATED BY HER talk. I just. ugh. I wish fandom would think more critically about shows like Mad Men before they start the fan wank.

I’m rambling- but yeah. I hated the fandom for the way they treated Megan. Yeah- I hate the wedding idea and it will turn to shit, but I hate that I knew that Megan would get blamed for all this. And I hate that the disliking of this event would all be pinned on to her. And not on Don. At all.
